MaryAnn Metcalf - Design Team & Newsletter Coordinator
Hi everyone, my name is MaryAnn and I live in sunny Arizona with my husband Mike and our three kids. I spend most of my days taking care of my home and running around my kids (which I love to do)! Most of the time I use my free time to scrapbook, but I also enjoy reading, listening to music and traveling with my husband and kids.
Getting to know MaryAnn:
I Started scrapbooking because:
I started scrapbooking because I needed a place to showcase all the little memorabilia and photos I had been collecting through the years. I quickly learned I couldn't keep every cute art project or writing page my young kids were bringing home each day, but that I could scrapbook the memories and keep it all in one place!
My biggest source of scrappy inspiration:
My biggest source of inspiration is probably the online communities and blogs I visit and follow. There's so much inspiration out there - I love it!
My favorite embellishment:
My favorite embellishment at the moment is probably unique alphabets. I'm such a collector of alphabets, it's a little embarrassing! But I also almost always reach for buttons and rub-ons when I need to add a little something to my pages.
Three words that describe me:
Creative, honest, quirky.
My all time favorite movie:
My all time favorite movie is Chocolat. Mmmm, a movie about chocolate staring Johnny Depp in France... can it get any better?
I never leave home without:
I never leave home without my cellphone. Yeah, typical and expected answer, huh? But it's so true!

Buttons.
Who is my favorite manufacturer?
Fancy Pants but Cosmo Cricket is a close second.
What do I do when I'm not scrapping?
I've really gotten back to reading lately. I love finding new books.
My favorite place to relax:
In the summer in the evening I like to sit out on the glider on our deck. Also, after the boys are in bed and it's quiet I like to sit in the corner of our sectional sofa, it's the most comfy spot!
My all time favorite movie:
Beaches & Fried Green Tomatoes.
I never leave home without:
My purse.

Lorna Palumbo - Design Team Member
Hello, I’m Lorna. I live in NH with my supportive husband Michael, our 3 wonderful children and our sweet but silly golden retriever. I’m a stay-at-home mom w/a busy volunteer schedule as School Photographer and Enrichment Programs Coordinator. In addition to scrapping, I enjoy reading, listening to music, downhill skiing & trips to the beach with my family. I am thrilled to be a part of APIT’s Design Team and hope that my passion for scrapbooking, enthusiasm & creative ideas will provide you with inspiration for your own pages.
Getting to know Lorna:
I started scrapbooking because:
I scrap as an outlet for my energy and creativity while at the same time preserving my family’s precious memories for many generations to come. I especially love capturing not only important events, but also feelings, thoughts and clip-its of everyday life.
Who is my favorite manufacturer?
Pink Paislee, Fancy Pants, October Afternoon, Doodlebug, Little Yellow Bicycle. Sorry, it’s too tough to pick just one!
How many years have I been scrapbooking?
About 6 years. I tried scrapping when my daughter was born in ‘99 but with the trends of that time (loads of stickers & cutting photos into shapes), I quickly lost interest. I picked up scrapping again in 2004 after snapping 500+ photos during our first Disney vacation and have been hooked since.
The one tool I could not live without:
This is definitely a tie between my Tonic Studios guillotine cutter and my Scotch ATG adhesive gun. I can’t scrap without them!
Besides scrapbooking, I'm addicted to:
Dunkin' Donuts Coffee and Facebook.
I never leave home without:
My watch on my wrist and my cell phone in my purse.
Three words that describe me:
Friendly, fun-loving & genuine.

Who is my favorite manufacturer?
There are SOOO many, but my first instinct is always Basic Grey.
Favorite embellishment:
Patterned paper, hands down. There are just so many things you can do with it.

Tesa Broman - Design Team Member
Hi! I am Tesa and I live in a small town in Sweden with my lovely family of three. It's me and hubby - we've been married ten years this summer- and our son who is nine. I work as a teacher and researcher in Economic History and I'm fortunate to have have a family I love, a fulfilling work and the best hobby there is!
Getting to know Tesa:
How many years have I been scrapbooking?
It's been almost 3,5 years by now! Time Flies!
I Started scrapbooking because:
I fell in love with a patterned paper with a funny size I found at a newly opened store and bought it. I wanted to do something with it and started looking at the internet. The resti is histroy... (and I still have that paper, I might add. The troubles of cutting the babies have been following me since the start)
Who is my favorite manufacturer?
Is, by far, Basic Grey (which was the brand of the paper that got it all started), but the GCD Studios as a fresh runner up. Then there are tons of great manufacturers...
The one tool I could not live without:
It's a tie between my paper trimmer (of course) and my tweezers... I did mange quite some time with a ruler and a crafters knife, but when my tweezers are gone (hiding under a pile of scraps somewhere) I panic!
Besides scrapbooking, I'm addicted to:
Coffee. All sorts but my favorite is a nice hot cappuccino.
My all time favorite movie:
I love old movies, and I love Cary Grant. One huge favorite is "Bringing Up Baby" with him and Katherine Hepburn. It's the movie AND the story around it that makes it special for me. My best friend hunted a copy down after seeing it on tv in our teens and saw it over and over again and laughed until we cried. "I was born on the side of a hill". Tehee!
My favorite place to relax:
By my scrap desk. That is by far the most relaxing place to be for me.
I never leave home without:
My cell phone and the head set.
